A Zoopharmacognosy session typically takes between 1.5/2 hours. During this time we will allow the animal to select from a variety of appropriate essential oils, dried medicinal plants, powders and clays based on the information gathered in the pre consultation form.
The human priority for a session is not always in alignment with the animals priority, sometimes a session meant to address a physical condition can go down an emotional route & sometimes a behavioural concern can move towards a physical issue. This is where Zoopharmacognosy comes into its unique ability allowing the animal to guide the session to the root cause, whilst not always being visible or apparent to us, it empowers the animal to select the most beneficial extracts to manage health and wellness.
The pre-session form is an important part of the process which helps identify pre-existing veterinary treatments and/or medications allowing time to work with or around them.
Zoopharmacognosy does not diagnose or treat and is not a replacement for Veterinary care but can be a very useful tool to help support an animals physical and emotional well-being.
